iKargo. A Technology Project. Overcoming inefficiencies in the logistic industry.

...

ABOUT THE PROJECT

IKargo.com will be Malaysia's 1st logistic portal. It was created to overcome inefficiencies in the logistic industry.
It is a marketplace for Commercial and individual users to look for logistic services and also for logistic service providers to look for cargo whenever they have empty/partial loads or idle trucks.

With the iKarGo portal, you do not need to call up 5 or 10 transporters and enquire whether they have available trucks and their rates. Now you only need to post an ad and it goes out to ALL logistic service providers immediately through email and app notification. This will ensure that you get connected to as many logistic service providers as possible in order to get the best rates.

The transporters will then bid for your job which will ensure that you get the most competitive price. However, with the price alone, it may be difficult to make a decision. Now with iKargo, you will get the following information to make a more informed decision:

a) Price

b) Service rating

c) User feedback

BENEFITS OF IKARGO

a) Convenience - connect online with all logistic service providers with just one click.
b) Savings - get better rates when transporters bid for your job.
c) Transparent - open bidding creates a fair platform for all parties.
d) Rating & Feedback - we hope that the industry service standard will improve when the transporters know that they are being monitored and reported on a public platform.
e) Track & Trace - know where your shipment is, at all times.

WHERE ARE WE AT NOW?
We have completed a prototype design and we are testing it now to sort out the bugs before we develop the final website. We expect to be able to complete the development work by July 2014 and launch iKargo.com by the 4th quarter 2014.
Your contribution is going to help make the website awesome!

REWARDS
Don't miss out the opportunity to network with the Secretary General of Treasury, Ministry of Finance, Malaysia, YBhg Tan Sri Dr Mohd Irwan and other business industry leaders, during a business networking dinner arranged specifically for all supporters of iKargo.

For those who usually send out palletised goods, we offer free delivery to any location within Peninsula Malaysia. You may also get a 10% discount on any shipment. Look for it in the rewards column on the right.

If you love fruits, you wouldn't want to miss out on the reward of the best tasting Jackfruit in Malaysia. We will send it direct to your house. And it is grown with love and care, without any pesticides or herbicides.

All the above rewards are transferable. Check out the complete list at the right hand side of this page!

If all the above does not interest you, we will sincerely appreciate your show of support by still giving us a pledge in any of the categories.

PLEDGE

We would encourage you to connect your Facebook with pitchIN before you pitch to the project. If not, your pitch will be identified as "anonymous" in the Project Page. However, if you choose to pitch anonymously, pitchIN would still have your information. We think it would be just awesome if we can see and identify our supporters in the wall of pitchers.

ANNOUNCEMENT

A pitcher/pledger does not need a PayPal account to pitch or pledge. What he/she needs is a credit card (Mastercard/Visa) or a debit card.

However, if you are not comfortable doing an online pitch/pledge - you can transfer the money directly to the pitchIN account as follows:

WATCHTOWER AND FRIENDS SDN.BHD
Maybank 564892100684

WATCHTOWER AND FRIENDS SDN BHD is the company that owns and runs pitchIN.

However, the person must send pitchIN the proof of transfer by attaching the receipt to the email address: pitch@pitchin.my with the Subject Heading: iKargo. Upon receiving that, the folks at pitchIN can then quickly update the project page.

Thank you again and we do hope you will support the project!
