Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival. The first and biggest environmental film festival in Malaysia. A Community Project.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Set to materialize this coming 17th till 19th October, The Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival (KLEFF) aims to crowdfund their 7th annual event! KLEFF is the biggest environmental film festival in Malaysia, reaching out to approximately 46,000 Malaysians through its film screenings in the last six years.

Featuring award-winning international and local environmental films by renowned film makers, interactive learning classrooms, and creative clusters within the Festival help to stress the urgent need to take positive actions today whilst making it a platform for all Malaysians to learn, be engaged and empowered to take environmental issues seriously

Conceptualized and organized by non-profit environmental organization, EcoKnights, the Festival is used as a tool to facilitate building a nation of ecologically conscious businesses, individuals, and communities through on-ground activities and film screenings focused on critical environmental issues. Partnering with important sustainability leaders in the country, the KLEFF is steadfastly paving the way to encourage and inspire grassroots communities to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle. In addition, the KLEFF also works closely with Malaysian higher institutes of learning with the aim of assisting in the development and progression of environmental communication.

The festival however, is NOT just about films - it is about empowering all Malaysians to take on a greener approach in their normal daily activities through diverse and unique opportunities such as workshops and talks on sustainable living, fun and creative nature craft activities for children, performances, exhibitions and fairground attractions which your pledges will contribute to!

After some calculations, we would require at least 2000 people to pledge for our minimum package of RM25 to achieve our goal. Pitch in and help us make our dream come true!
