Because it's about time we get together and celebrate the Late Yasmin Ahmad and her life's work.. and all that she has done for us in the local film scene. It's been more than 10 years since SEPET was last shown to the public; we need to bring it back. Who knows? If this movie event proves encouraging, SEPET and the rest of the film series could be screened elsewhere nationwide, and it was all started by YOU! ;)

Why SEPET?
As a Malaysian-born startup, it is only befitting that we pay tribute to one of Malaysia's most esteemed and talented film director, advertising guru and storyteller - Yasmin Ahmad.
The movie SEPET played a tremendous role in highlighting that local productions have its own following and sing a different tune from your typical Hollywood blockbusters. Think compelling storytelling of our everyday lives; this is irreplaceable, regardless of the greatest CGIs, or the presence of Oscar-winning celebrities.
By bringing the power of choice back into YOUR hands, we strive to let YOU have a say in what you watch. And yes. Local productions exist!
THE Giving
As part of our first attempt in bringing the movies YOU love back to your cinema, we've decided to donate ALL profits from this movie event back to a museum in Ipoh dedicated to The Late Yasmin Ahmad. So you'll be having a great night watching her movies while making a charitable contribution to her legacy. Double win! ;)

About the Museum
A living, evolving museum where the late Yasmin Ahmad will inspire you with her spirit and life's work - enriched by digital augmented-reality content.
At the moment, the museum opens on Saturday and Sunday (10am-4pm)
