Project Summary
INTRODUCTION OF PENDOSA
Pendosa means a person who transgresses against divine law by committing an immoral act or acts. Its significant meaning refers to local entity in arts scene in Ipoh in which almost all of them are indirectly planting inspirations amongst all society and local art scene activists as well.
Pendosa is a collaboration project between PeaceBeUponYou™ and Almost Quaint™ in which started just as a graphic designing project amongst friends. The collaboration project between these two local labels is a living proof of passion being as one out of many other serious deals. Hence, with such high gratitude to pursue this project—a documentation of local art activists, precisely Ipoh’s souls, is done. And of course, undeniably, based on the project’s title itself, a significant and relatable point is beautifully portrayed—wherein what kind of great episode of life can be shadowed in today’s creative industry, for instance.
Pendosa was founded by two passionate hotshots from Ipoh. Both of them has their own local clothing brand—Adam Jalaludin of PeaceBeUponYou™ and Ikhwan Aiman of Almost Quaint™. After the official release of Pendosa merchandise on December 2017 at PBUY Store, Ipoh, these two hotshots decided to sail farther—craving for inspiration and motivation—to be shared with family, fellow friends and other creative real-life ‘Pendosa’ in the scene whom have yet to be discovered. Pendosa is kind of an initiative to document local main figures of creative art scene in Ipoh.
PENDOSA TOUR
The earlier collaboration project between the two local labels managed to grab a lot of people’s attention and heart, especially the youth, after producing and releasing its products, such as t-shirts, tote bags and stickers. And thus, having to get a load of demand, this project is to be carried on to next phase. The whole idea of this project is all about local community project engagement, where a number of screening session of documentary film precisely about local art activists from Ipoh is (being) organized. The trip will start from Perak (Ipoh). From there, the journey will be continued to Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and next to Malacca. The journey’s last stop is Johore. Each state has its own local community creative space. Almost all of them people from the creative scene is happy to be co-organizing the events; which we will be selling our merchandises and screening the film documentary of Pendosa over their space. Indirectly, it can create an inter-relationship between lots of communities within the local creative art scene in Malaysia.

WHO WILL BE INTERVIEWED?
Local filmmaker, musician and few art movers who are related to Ipoh such as, Junaidah M. Nor (film director), Meor Shahiran & Ducktoi (Muck), Adly Syairi Ramly (Thinker Studio), Azizul Abdul Latif (Pop Malaya) and few notable figure in our beloved scene.

OUR OBJECTIVES
- To highlight the image of passion as one of the most crucial sources of strength in creative line through documentary session.
- To draw spotlight on creative art movements in Malaysia, especially Ipoh.
- To build a larger network and connection between creative movements in Malaysia and all other friends from other parts of it.
- To empower the local community art movement in terms of economical purposes.
HOW DO WE WANT TO RUN THIS PROJECT?
What can drive us to run this project is to have a fully pledge by crowd funders until we can make it possible to RM50,0000. All funded money will be used to pay for the shooting process, our fellow crews, merchandises and for the van maintenance Daihatsu Hijet S75 in other to support for our road trip from Perak to Johore.
