Project Summary
WHAT’S THE PROBLEM?
Exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic and the imposition of the Malaysia Movement Control Order (MCO), the use of delivery services in Malaysia has become a new norm for every household. While it brings the benefit of convenience, this comes with a hefty price where more and more grown trees are forcibly chopped down to cater to the growing appetite for delivery boxes. According to the survey of Penang Green Council on the consumer behaviour during MCO, it is found that online shopping of 3 to 4 times a week have increased by 7% while food delivery of 1 to 2 times a week have increased by 6%. Without a doubt, this will ultimately aggravate the existing deforestation issue that is threatening our beloved nation.
WHAT DO WE PROVIDE?
GreenBox is the first corrugated box made of agricultural waste in Malaysia. In contrast with traditional corrugated carton boxes which rely heavily on wood pulp as the main material, the production of GreenBox does not involve the cutting down of ANY trees. It is also cost-friendly and comes in various sizes and designs. If you are a business owner looking for sustainable boxes as your packaging solution, you definitely do not want to miss us out!
WHAT WE NEED & WHAT YOU GET
Our current challenge is the insufficiency of funds to kickstart our idea into reality. Starting a production line is costly, and that is why your contributions matter the most to us right now. Every contribution will be utilized to propel towards our goal of presenting the best sustainable solution to your business.
